Although Franz Bonaparta did produce many stories, not every story were published. As Bonaparta’s editor Tomas Zobak stated, Bonaparta’s work has always been so dark and full of misery. Horrible misery. Yet his book made significant sales within Europe, that’s why Moravia continue publishing his works. Zobak also said there is one story claimed to make two people falling in love, but will not work to make someone falling in
Continue Readingmonster metafiction 4: obluda, se probouzi
This is the last known children storybook featured in the series. “Obluda, Se Probouzi” was featured in the “Monster” supplement, “Another Monster,” as an additional side-story. Said to be found in a place where “Another Monster” ‘s author, Werner Weber gone missing, “Obluda, Se Probouzi” left its author unknown. This is also the very story which I mentioned before. That very one story left an utter bad aftertaste, at least for me…Reading this one I strongly presume there is another monster that imitate Johan’s existence, or rather Johan himself turn into another monster with another purpose. Who knows? *chuckles*

Starting from now, I will be posting short stories from Urasawa Naoki’s “Monster.” Inside “Monster” series, Urasawa also write down several stories, mainly for children storybook featured in the plot. This one is the main story that bind all the events together. Said to be written by the sole author with many alias. As for this book, he uses one of his alias, Emil Scherbe. Obluda is dark, leaving a disturbing aftertaste, but I would say this one is rather soft than ‘that one’ I’m getting hard to forget. Tell you later. So I hope you enjoy the stories, whatever it means 🙂

Now I’ve just finished reading “Another Monster”: Chapter 19 & “The Awakening Monster” which Urasawa recommend to read only after we finished read the whole “Another Monster” chapters. I really wish there would be someone who will offer me a translation of “Another Monster” Chapter: 20-final. Been curious to death! At least after reading all “Monster” series & half of the supplements, I still think it is a magnificent story. Even all side story is oddly beautiful. A story that wont get too old to read. Complex but entertaining in certain ways. I wouldn’t dare compare it to “Silence of The Lambs” but they actually bear the same aftertaste. Dark and bitter all the same. A little shake & fear was dragging me when I read “Another Monster” in solitaire silence. Maybe what Urasawa Naoki’s recite that the most powerful weapon is words is indeed true afterall…
Continue Readingbandung beauty & briliant with caring colours
Last Saturday I went to my first beauty class ever, the Bandung Beauty & Briliant by Caring Colours. At first I was just “uh-kay” when my sister told me bout the event. But since I wear the said brand I just went anyway. The event held at Lucky Square Convention Hall Bandung, Saturday 29th of January this year. Attended by almost 3200 Bandung’s beauties, it eventually opened by a performance from Acapela at 09.30AM although the announcement said it will start at approximately 8.00AM. When we first enter the venue, we were requested to exchange our tickets into a nice goodie-bag filled with a make-up palette (randomly choose); a t-shirt which we had to put on during the event; a pack of cleansing products; cotton & tissue; and a lunchbox later. I think its def worth reckon its only cost you IDR 55,000 for the goodies (the palette alone has already cost IDR 79.500!) So yeah, I was happy ^0^

Michael Cera, through Scott, made a statement to further strengthen his image as a neo-geek idol. In this movie, Scott Pilgrim is a 23 years old who lives in the big city with his gay roommate, plays melody in a band called Sex-Bob-Omb. One day he cross-path with his dreamlove, Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead). But to be able to win Ramona entirely, he has to defeat her seven evil ex-boyfriends.
