Little House of Rena for SWD Artist Alley

TGR or short for Toys & Games Republic is an annual event held in the very city of Bandung. Like any other years, this year’s TGR which run on October 4-6th at Be Mall, also filled with pop and folks around the perimeters. But one thing yet to be revealed: this year’s TGR also bring out the potential of another infamous event called SWD (Star Wars Day). As I wrote earlier, SWD is more like a gathering event for Star Wars fans in Indonesia. It is also a showcase for more than hundred Star Wars related items, which of course fit to Toys & Games Republic atmosphere. Thus, SWD was given their own display area which they established into three different showrooms. From near TGR entrance you will already introduced to Trooper’s set; then to what they called Geek’s dream interior by UNKL; to Star Wars memorabilia made of action figures, lego and you name it; to playground on the back.

But that’s not all! In the year of 2013, SWD moved to base 2 through their own Artist Alley. A round-up of artists working on Star Wars based artworks and showcase. The Alley is open for approximately half-a-day on Saturday October 5th. Name The Yellow Dino, Machine 56, Nadia Mahatmi, R. Hakim, Ario Anindito, Alfa Aprodhite and Preppy Anarchy among the alley attenders. Aside selling out artworks, meet-ups and chit-chat, they are also collaborated in live painting a giant R2D2 artwork!
