Yesterday (by yesterday I meant like years ago)…I’d be uncomfortable when I sit down or hang out with someone who continuously engaged with their phone. Whether its chatting or facebooking…or just whatever. It’s sort of bother me that the person who was supposed to be with me, traveling his/her mind somewhere else. Back then, smartphone wasn’t all this hype.
Lately I just realize that I don’t quite mind that anymore. I stop feeling all insecure and left behind when someone I came with at the coffee shop completely ignore me over their phone. It’s somehow became acceptable now.
I think I’m not the only one. Social media apps and smartphones that supported it has become so common these days, we sometimes whatsapp-ing someone sitting next to us.
Nothing’s wrong with it…maybe. I don’t know which one is worst. The fact that most people doing it lately or the fact that I (and so many out there) just don’t care anymore. I personally rather have a good talk with person I am with than having a chat with someone who might be doing something else with their other friends sitting next to them. However you put it, to me, it still means they’re only putting half their interest in you. Just a thought.
