From Inside the Drawer: Old-Crafts

Heihoo! This is my first [fid] post. So exited!

If you wonder what “FID” means…well, it stands for [From Inside the Drawer]. Meaning I will be posting my old DIY items.
I always love making things ever since I was very little. My mom would tell me I am messing up my room, but then sometimes showing off what I do to her acquaintances. When I was in elementary, I adore scrapbooking and anything to do with paper. But as I grow, I am more attached to other things.

From beads-making, doll-making, cake & choco-making, bag & clothes to stitches & knit. From selling handmade bracelet to chocolate to necklaces. One thing though…I strongly hope I can do machine-sew! Always do it by hands make it lil’ messy and took very very long time…. T^T

Anyway, I never posted anything I made. When I got married, most of it was made for couple’s purposes :p. But now I think some items may worth a look. So this is what [from inside the drawer] means.
Have fun looking! If you curious on how those items are made, just lemme know. I might write you an instructions 🙂

I’ll try update it regularly once I snap more pictures of my old-crafts 🙂

I made this one back at 2010, since I lost my car-key wallet somewhere :p. I thought why don’t make one myself? By the time I take this picture, it’s already dump and dirty because Papadino accidentaly drop it to muddy sewer one day. But cute Goji never gets angry, he always smile while guarding my key :p

Anniversary Book

This is one is from 2001. Woo…can you imagine how long this book’s been staying inside my drawer? ^^
It was made for our first anniversary. I pack it with a Tazmanian Devil Save, wrap it in a fancy giftwrap and put it inside his mailbox. On Thursday when he usually check his PO Box, he was so surprised he stoned *lol

Back then it was quite popular to have a share book where we can put our thoughts and stuff then shift it among bestfriends. So by the end of the year, the book will be filled by many people’s thoughts. This one has the same concept but for couples only :p.
Made it using cardboard as cover, with hand-stitches letters as the cover-closure. As writing paper, I use brown recycled paper, bought it in 2 rolls then cut it to A4 size. Pretty much effort-consuming hoho. But I love the final result 🙂
We use it as couple’s diary where we put our mind and thought in it. Back then, we usually take turn bringing the book home, fill it with thought & messages then give it to the other next day.
Well, what can we do? we were not familiar with blog & facebook & stuff then :p

We filled it with mostly silly messages & dreams about future..Because this book is so special, I kept it still in my drawer 🙂

Goji Hand Puppet

More about Goji Hand Puppet

There’s fun story about this one *tee-hee*

So back in 2007 at our anniversary, I have this crazy idea where I create a hunting game for Papadino. The game was held this way: I went to BIP early to buy 2 movie tix, then put one of the tix into an envelope. After that I bought some snack at griya BIP then have it save with the tix at griya’s deposit counter. I then brought the deposit number to Gunung Agung, bought some anniversary card and again, save them at their deposit counter. Then I took GA’s deposit counter to Gramedia, slip it into one of our favorite manga. Far far behind so that no one other than Papadino would find it. Then I go to the cinema, text him with a riddle & wait. Turns out Papadino wasn’t so good with riddle so he showed up late :p. By that time, I already sat inside the cinema, having this puppet sit on his seat with a rose on Goji’s mouth. He came up with bunsh of snack I bought earlier & silly smiley face out of surprised to see this Goji. I don’t know if Papadino still remember, but his face does so cute then 😀
